Again this semester, I tasked my students with teaching something to me and five other classmates for their final exams. The only restrictions were that they couldn't teach songs, paperfolding, or a foreign language. Presentations needed to be seven minutes long. I strongly suggested the use of visual aids--while many students did bring them, I wish more had. It's more interesting and just ... read more
