That is what today boiled down to. We both passed the mile stone of 5000 miles within the last 12 days. Whether we made it to AK or not, that is still a good mark of endurance. Riding the ALCAN, 2014

I have wanted to ride the ALCAN highway for a long time. I turn 50 in 2012, so decided that would be my excuse for finally making the ride. With my wife's blessing and financial backing, I began to plan when and with who. I extended the offer to accompany me to a few close friends and co-workers. One committed, and then sold his bike (Sorry Mel, but you'll be missing a hell of a good time). Another, Mike S, jumped at the chance, and we will be doing a 6300+ mile, 21 days (or so) ride from St Louis, MO area to Alaska and back.... full info
