So we got out of Grande Prairie about 1100 this morning. Uneventful ride from there to Dawson’s Creek, other than the rain, fresh gravel repair, bird strike, and hail. Riding the ALCAN, 2014

I have wanted to ride the ALCAN highway for a long time. I turn 50 in 2012, so decided that would be my excuse for finally making the ride. With my wife's blessing and financial backing, I began to plan when and with who. I extended the offer to accompany me to a few close friends and co-workers. One committed, and then sold his bike (Sorry Mel, but you'll be missing a hell of a good time). Another, Mike S, jumped at the chance, and we will be doing a 6300+ mile, 21 days (or so) ride from St Louis, MO area to Alaska and back.... full info

How about an educational video of your trip for my 6th graders? I am sure that most of them have no idea about the road to Alaska.
