It's two weeks before I return to Tanzania and friends and former projects. I am reminded of the journal I kept in 1991-1993 long before the word blog was known and years before Tanzania had internet. Hamjambo wote, Mimi ni Mama Linda kutoka Katesh, Walaya ya Hanang. Yes, it's been too long since I communicated in Swahili. Former CUSO cooperants 1991-1993, we worked in the field of Community Economic Development and human rights with the Barabaig people of Hanang. While there, we also set up an NGO-CHES to help educate yoong women. CHES continues to thrive and my daughter, Binti Kelci, now a Mental Health clinician, are returning for the summer months to help out where we can.... full info
