We spent the day in Aosta. It is situated in the centre of the Aosta Valley at approx. 1500feet above sea level. The old city was founded by the Romans in 25BC and some of their buildings still remain.
The City is surrounded by mountains.
We enjoyed the traffic free shopping centre and plenty of cafe life.
