May 3, 2012 After spending the night in Homestead, we woke up early and hit the road for the Everglades. After stopping at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center, we saw our first alligators at Royal Palm, Anhinga Trail. We also saw a turtle and lots of birds, including an anhinga of course. On Gumbo Limbo Trail we saw lots of lizards.
