I am in Beijing, my first experience with Asia. I have only a couple of days here before I embark on the Trans-Siberian railway. What to do first? I decide to let fate guide me. Incredibly, fate really likes sightseeing, so I saw quite a bit. Pollution hangs over the city like a curtain, leaving a chalky film in your throat. Did a volcano erupt nearby?
