We didn't really know too much about la Rioja, all we did know was that we didn't want to spend another 8 hours on that bus from salta. So we were happy to stop for a night here. Only one hostel in the town so it saved us a whole load of time. We arrived during siesta so it was a tad quiet. Then in usual argentinean tradition a protest started, great.
