The Mount

The Mount in all its mountainous glory.

After leaving Auckland, I made my way to the Mount where opportunity was supposed to await, but low and behold, it was a tiny city with a "downtown" which I could walk in 5 minutes, all in all not my cup of tea. Everyone always says that these are the days of our lives, when we are young and free from responsibilities. My rebuttal to this often used phrase was, "hell ya" and "which plane should I jump on?" The only way I could reasonable see myself doing this was to take a year off before University. No problem, I was tired of school anyway, the educational system will survive without me for a year.
