A small jewel that I came across in Southeast Kansas was the Carona Depot and Railroad Museum. I had read on a few other blogs about a train depot somewhere around Scammon, Kansas but could not find a webpage for it. Luckily there were a few signs directing us where to go. I like things to be simple. I’m not into fancy hotels or dining at expensive restaurants. I’d be much happier pitching a tent and cooking burgers over an open fire than doing those things. Being outdoors is a way to find contentment that cannot be found in the hustle of our daily lives.
