Known as windy Wellington, believe me it's true. Not only windy but pretty chilly too. On the plus side, our hotel is right on the water of Oriental Bay with nice views. I wandered around some of Wellington close to the hotel before meeting the rest of those doing the literary tour prior to us all going on the Wellington Writers' Walk together led by our tour guide Susannah Fullerton.
