London Bridge has fallen down

The London Bridge in the photo used to have a part connecting it to the mainland. In 1990, a local drove past, saw it was missing and ran into the pub yelling "London Bridge has fallen down!!!" The people in the pub laughed, but eventually finished their beers and went to take a look. Sure enough, the bridge had collapsed stranding a young married couple on the newly formed island. There wasn't a rescue helicopter available, so emergency services called the TV station. After the couple was rescued, they refused to talk to the waiting battery of cameras and hid their heads. Apparently they were married, but not to each other.
