La Paz is the highest capital city in the world, although as Bolivia has two capitals it has to vie for the title with Sucre. Surrounded by mountains the city is sqashed into a crater which gives it a village like feel. To enter the city you have to pass a large statue of Che Guevara stood on top of the American eagle.
