Having never heard of Eger before, I was pleasantly surprised on arrival to find such a beautiful place. Inhabited since the stone age, it is evident that it has had its prosperous moments over the passage of time. We spent about 5 hours walking around the city, stopping to join some locals sledding on the Castle of Eger's slopes and then found an excellent restauraunt. I hope the addage that t ... read more
