The mighty volcano, from one of the streets in Pompei

Sorrento and Amalfi Coast

Our journey to Sorrento on the south west coast of Italy was a very long one. We travelled from Athens to Patra in Greece by bus ( the trains were on strike), a journey which took 3 hours, to catch the overnight ferry to Bari in Italy.
