Well, after a whole day of driving and not really knowing where we were going to stop, we made it to Chiang Mai! The ride up here was absolutely surreal. We stopped in Doi Mae Salong, a tiny Chinese village set on top on mountains. These were mostly refugees forced out by the Maoists in the 1940's and have managed to preserve their culture in a tiny place in northern Thailand. It was beaut ... read more
