South of Dumaguete is the small town of Siaton. Went to stay with local family and sample village life with woman washing laundry in the river and men digging the riverbank for building sand all day. Very simple house with roosters on the window ledges and no running water. Brownout most of my stay so no electicity either! Only thing left to do was drink lots of SMB and Tanduay by candlenight! ... read more
