infamous khao san road
the ultimate in travellers ghetto's, khao san road is a hodge podge of travel agencies, market stalls, cheap accommodation, bars, massage parlors, tatoo joints, and internet cafes. i lasted about 20 minutes before needing to find a cool place to sit and guzzle a cold singha.

If Africa is the land of Savannah's, big game, and endless horizons...then Thailand is home to the world's wats (Buddhist monastery's), Buddha's, and spicy, hot curries! my first week was spent in Bangkok, the country's capital and home to 9 million of the 62 million or so Thai residents.
