Where Kellogg's Rice Krispies are made...

Not really...here a Vietnamese favourite is manufactured on a local scale - popped rice cakes. The husked rice is poured into pans of hot sand and puffs up like popcorn. The result is mixed with coconut sugar to make a delicious sweet.

We got back to Cần Thơ from our trip to the floating markets around lunchtime. After a quick bite in Cần Thơ, we caught a minibus heading towards Sài Gòn (the Vietnamese are adamant that their language is monosyllabic so I'll stick to their spellings) a.k.a. Hồ Chí Minh City.
