14 February 2010 was the first day of the Lunar New Year in Vietnam. It was also a special day for me as I made a trip to Sigiriya and Dambulla. At 5am, I was standing in front of my guest house in Negombo and waiting for a car and driver to pick me up. I booked them the day before at a travel agent in the town and paid US$110 for the trip.
