The Yellow Pavers...

...all Bulgarians know them well. Sofia's city centre is entirely covered with them, stretching from the old Communist Party Quarters to every other civic building in the vicinity...These streets were once lined with people marching in the Communist days... in support of the regime, then again the same streets were filled with millions revolting against the regime in the years coming up to 1989 collapse of the system. I was there too, on the shoulders of my mum, shouting out for freedom.

I spent a very lazy couple of months in Bulgaria in the company of my family and old friends, lounging about and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. It was very gratifying.
