I stopped on the outskirts of a town that most travelers don’t bother visiting. And I wouldn’t have either except it has a large deep water port and I thought I might have a chance of finding a crew position on a sailing yacht heading…well, anywhere. If our lives are dominated by a search for happiness, then perhaps few activities reveal as much about the dynamics of this quest - in all its ardour and paradoxes - than our travels.
