years ago our friend gave Alex a large jar of sweets, and told him once they were eaten to use the jar to save loose change. He has done so ever since, and generally uses it for holiday money. However, this year he wants to buy a video camera, and was delighted to find that he has saved £58. 12 in the jar, which when added to Christmas money will be almost enough for the camera.
