A 14-hour flight departing the evening of November 3rd from Los Angles would put me in Sydney, Australia the morning of November 5th. Sitting with me in aisle 19 were Itzy, a German woman who lives in a beach suburb of Sydney, and Gai, a lady from Minnesota who was born in Australia and going down under to visit family.
