Women in the Hani ethnic minority group

During Tết 2009 (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) there were many activities at the Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi. These women from the Hani ethnic minority group in the mountainous region of northern Vietnam also participated in the festival.

There are 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, of which the Viet (or Kinh) is the largest group (making up 86.2%!o(MISSING)f the country's population). The Viet people mainly live in the Red River Delta, the central coast region, the Mekong Delta and major cities.
