Speaking of my dad, when I asked for two My Little Ponies when I was little he made me feel weird. Only later did I realize he was afraid his son was choosing a sexual preference different from the one he'd assumed his son would be.

In June, we went to Virginia to see the rhododendrons in peak bloom on Mount Rogers (southwestern VA on the border with Tennessee). We combined this with a stop in DC to see Sahtiya and visiting a great winery in southeastern VA. So, it was a lot of driving for one weekend but a wonderful time, especially after two months off of traveling. We drove down from NJ and stayed with our awesome c ... read more
