We are off to the often overlooked state of Maine and perhaps greater New England.. We are flying into Boston, and driving up through New Hampshire, perhaps to Vermont, and on to Maine. I was in Maine before, as a company I worked for, had an office in Augusta when we administered the state Medicaid drug program. I also stopped here on my first big trip in 1971 to Europe, in Bangor, to refuel. ... read more

Comment on Is It Real?
Recent travels to all continents except Antarctica. Preference for do it yourself trips, meeting locals, and learning local customs and food. I have been doing a daily travel diary through email for the last several years(mostly Asia), and received many compliments from friends. I plan to visit the following in the years to come: Turkey, Afrika, Alaska, Greece, and Russia. I went to Japan in March 2009 and drove a lot of the length of Chile with my golf buddy in September 2009. Things like the Orient Express and the Trans Siberian Railway interest me.
