I thought the most diabolical thing about it was the money... that and the evil-looking dogs which kept barking at me. While I see the resemblance to a foot, I don't see why it wasn't named something more appropriatelike "giant's foot". I guess giants don't grant wishes, that's why.

I ended up really liking Ayvalik so I'm still here. I think I'll leave tomorrow and head down to Izmir. My trip began (July 19, 2004) as a 14-month leave of absence from my job, with the intention of "seeing the world", and a bunch of unrealistic ideas of what can be accomplished in a year.
