The Dordogne Valley - agricultural land

The drive out of the Loire took us through some serious agricultural land. Miles and miles of crops and villages the landscape had a golden glow due to the wheat and sunflowers. The last 50 kilometres of the drive was our favourite as the road headed into the hills and passed through hill top fortifications and walled villages. A couple of mid 20 year olds, started this blog back in 2006. We left our homeland of New Zealand and set off on our trip of a lifetime. These entries follow our travels from our New Zealand to London and back again. Total geeks - no Las Vegas or full moon parties here. We used '1001 Natural wonders' to plan our trips.
