The village of Machu Picchu also referred to as Aguas Calientas is a beautiful and tiny village nestled in a valley among the peaks of the jungle. The locals all seem busy either working in the local market, waitering or building new buildings. The place is a buzz of activity and during our first day of arrival it was the Peruvian run-off election, so many of those who live in the surrounding vil ... read more
