Singapore gave us our first taste of Asia in the hot season - it was like walking through hot soup. No wonder the city is one big airconned interlinked shopping mall. After a couple of days and the obligatory Singapore Sling at Raffles hotel an 8 hour train journey took us to Kuala Lumpur and our hotel in the heart of Chinatown.
