In rainy weather Ruth and I drove the two hours from our home to the Trail head at Tapanappa and were greeted with stunning vistas of the Southern Ocean and Tunkalilla Beach in the distance. Since I travelled to Indonesia to attend my friends wedding in 2000, I have taken every opportunity to seek out destinations which allow me to interact with the cultures and people and experience the wonders both natural and man made that the world has to offer. All my adventures have been planned and where possible arranged by me in the hope of avoiding tours and tourists where and when ever possible.
