In an effort to avoid my normal boring titles, I was going to title my blog “Kazakhstan is nice”, and then after a few days I was going to title it “Kazakhstan has a veneer of niceness”, but I was already sick of people making the Borat references, so I decided not to reference that film at all and instead go with the title from the Beatles song which got stuck in my head. For those who're not familiar with blogs, note that this part is only my profile, the blog entries are linked from the bottom of this page (or subscribe, so you'll always know when I have a new one) Having always dreamed about travel, previously mainly done it as three-week or four-week sorties I finally arranged to take 13 months off from work, Feb 2009 - March 2010, to backpack around Asia, at the age of 36-37.
