as the sun rises, it directly faces the towers at the top of the mountain, and if there are just a few clouds right above the towers, the light reflects from the clouds onto the towers and causes them to glow a bright red... unfortunately there were too few clouds the morning we went up, but at least it made for a perfect day for trekking

So the next day, we woke up somewhat early and headed out for the trek. It was freezing, windy, and rainy, and that rain soon turned into snow!
