Magnetic Island March 26th 2009 The bus ride from Airlie Beach to Townsville was about 5 hours or so, which got us in around 7pm. By this time, the sun had basically set. Can’t see much of the town when it’s dark. So we hopped right onto the ferry to Magnetic Island.
