Unfortunately all of that beautiful wood is painted except for the floors which are a deep honey color. This is the king's wing. There was a section for his queen and consorts and there were "a lot of them." It's good to be da king!
Wild gibbons & the world's biggest water fight

We left Lao and headed to Kao Yai National Park in Thailand. It is one of a few places in Asia where you have a chance to see truly wild animals in a decent size sanctuary.
