The Candelabra

On the way to the Islas Ballestas, the boat brings travellers close to view the intriguing 50m trident design depicted on the side of a hill. The so-called Candelabra seems to have been created in a similar way as the Nazca Lines drawings. As with the latter, no one seems to know what the Candelabra signifies.

Islas Ballestas

The two hour boat trip to the Islas Ballestas was quite exciting. To start with, I saw a dozen or so dolphins when we left El Balneario harbour at 8am.
