We take a bus from Cheng Du to Leshan so we can visit 'Da Fo' which is the world's largest outdoor buddha - 71m high to be exact. He is carved out of the side of a mountain and is a popular destination for Chinese buddhists, as we discover upon arriving at the first viewing platform.
