Took the train from Brussels, to Paris, to Marseille travelling through some beautiful countryside. After arriving we were split up far and wide with some of the group staying in the city and others, like myself, staying out in the countryside. Folkids of Vermont is a group based in Burlington,Vermont that performs traditional New England dances and songs. Each new group of 10-17 year olds learns dances that were popular in Vermont in the late 1800s and then performs them to audiences around the region. At the end of a session, which lasts about a year, we travel overseas to spend two to three weeks in another country sharing our dances and songs with them.
