From Kashgar we planned to take a normal line-bus, as opposed to local taxis, to Sust, over the border in Pakistan. This was going to taker two days and therefore we were not entirely surprised to find that the bus we were to board was a sleeper bus. I'm Hollander of origin, but have been living in South Africa since 1972. Retired now, I've been traveling by car, Land Rover and others, for the last five and a half years. First through Africa, then Europe and the Middle East towards Asia. I visited Pakistan, Nepal and India, went on to Laos via Malaysia, Cambodia, and Thailand and stayed in China, as back-packer for nine moths.
