Haiku temple....
In Arashiyama we went for a walk through this huge bamboo forest and stumbled upon this temple. All of those cards have haikus written on them. At the temple you take a wooden card, write a haiku and then ring a sort of bell. It was a really cool place to find in the middle of a bamboo forest...

I wake up each morning to the cold Kyoto air and the drunken ramblings of the BakPak kyoto hostel. This really is the way to live - no phone, no responsablility, no plan, just an endless horizon of things to discover. Today i went to Arishiyama national park outside kyoto.
