Nov 27 Thanksgiving day ! Thanks to the change of time zone I'm am not awake till 8.00am though for me it is still really 7.00am. My first impression of thanksgiving is a procession of hunters, many with kids turning up at the garage in camouflage while I'm having my coffee and danish. I have seen many posters advertising turkey shoots so there could be some synergy there if dad and the kids go ou ... read more

I am a 47 year old ex pat Scot living in the Canary islands, Tenerife to be precise. I have been a travel addict for many years, taking the family holidays in places like Cambodia, Peru and Senegal. Last year I was so impressed on an RV tour of the Western USA that I decided it would be fun to do a solo cycle trip from coast to coast across America. It will be a challenge , but anyone who knows me will know that I thrive on challenges.
