Unfortunately it is still deemed necessary to be accompanied by gun toting tourist police while climbing the volcanoes.

For a fourth and final visa run of 2008 I wanted to get a bit further away. There are wonderful places in both Nicaragua and Panama that are close and convenient but I have sampled both.
