Ok, San Gimignano was really cool. We took a bus to the station then a train to a Poggibonsi then a bus to San Gimignano. Bit of an effort and it was about this time that we realised we should have based ourselves in Florence. Not to worry. The bus dropped us off at the gates of the old walled city. We wandered around and nothing interesting happened. The city is beautiful though and puts Siena ... read more
