Time difference issues resulted in an agreeable early rise and re-assembly of the bubble wrapped bike. I was assisted in this by the owner of the Motel, a charming older guy who has a hands on approach to his business - sweeping up in the patio at 7.00 am ! I am a 47 year old ex pat Scot living in the Canary islands, Tenerife to be precise. I have been a travel addict for many years, taking the family holidays in places like Cambodia, Peru and Senegal. Last year I was so impressed on an RV tour of the Western USA that I decided it would be fun to do a solo cycle trip from coast to coast across America. It will be a challenge , but anyone who knows me will know that I thrive on challenges.
