By 4:30, we were traipsing around the François I hunting Chateau, Chambord. The famous façade is highlighted by its four monumental towers, and the gardens and forest surrounding the palace number more the 13,000 acres. The chateau has a beautiful terrace which provides 360 views of the gardens, a Louis XIV apartment and a double corkscrew staircase, (I think it is a D’ Vinci design) allowin ... read more
