A flat landscape of green fields and water logged floodplains could be seen out of the window as we descended into Siem Reap. Occasionally we'd catch a glimpse of a settlement, but by and large the vista outside was one of countryside. The aircraft made a smooth landing and we taxied to the terminal. My aim is to visit at least 100 countries before I'm incapable of travel anymore. (Current count is 85!). Unlike a lot of fellow travellers, I tend to only dip my feet into a country, quite often only staying a day or two before heading off somewhere else.
Country numbers 54 and 55 were my first trips alone - something I never thought I'd do.
