The Mystery Root Dish

I first had this dish (only with the leaves of the plant included) at the Long Je Le trip I went on with Paul and his students. I can't remember the name of it, but it's got such a great unique taste. The sauce has soysauce, vinegar, some salt and sugar, and hot pepper and chicken bulleon.
