Day 8. Farewell Cowboy Trail, hello Rockies! Long journey today, leaving the Rockies at Waterton, driving up through Cowboy Country, and then heading back into the Rockies at Banff. We were up fairly early and decided to throw in a hike before leaving Waterton Lakes. Trained professionally as a biologist, I have travelled since the age of seven. I can probably take credit for the journeys I began at the age of 21, when I started a travelling spree that saw me flying round the world four times in four years. (I became quite an expert at sleeping with my legs folded on the tray table - though I'm sure aircraft gave you more space back then.)
