But who will save his soul?
White evangelical missionaries are scary, warped rock stars in Calabar and many Christian parts of Nigeria. I often get asked if I am one. But what’s perhaps scarier is that missionaries have arguably been the most positive outside force in Nigeria - from an educational development perspective anyway. It often makes me think long and hard about the similarities and differences between missionaries and development workers. Quite similar in intent, I think, but what about impact?
